Effect of fluid flow rate on cell viability. Cell viability was measured at flow rates ranging from 1.3-13.0 mL/h. At 2.6 mL/h cell viability was uncompromised (control viability = 97±1%), cells were allowed sufficient US exposure (texp ≅ 5 sec), and trapping was not evident (n = 3).
